how I cut my coupons

Ok I have had some people ask me the best way to cut out coupons. Well after spending days at the kitchen table with scissors cutting out every coupons I have found a better time management system that works for me. Now keep in mind what works for one person might not work for others but I have a feeling this will cut your time down drastically also.
As you see in the picture below my stack of inserts.. woo hoo!!
I separate the inserts so they are all in piles
Now I am ready to start with my first set of inserts I put all the other ones off to the side and work with only this pile right now.
I tear each sheet right in the middle and separate each sheet
Now I am ready to cut, VERY IMPORTANT, MAKE SURE ALL YOUR PAGES ARE THE SAME!! sometimes there might be different coupons on the other side of the sheet, this happens so make sure before you cut your coupons that you aren't accidently cutting into a coupon that you want on the other side, this happens to me this week. You will see I have a paper cutter, I used my 40% off coupon in the michaels add to get my cutter, it will make your life a lot easier, mine is a fiskars paper cutter and it normally cost about $19.99. I like this one because it has a string where you are going to be cutting so you can see exactly where the cut will go, it is awesome.you can cut mulitple pages at a time, which is why I separate the pages and stack the same ones on top of each other, so I can cut all of the same coupons at the same time I only have a stack of 5 pages in this example but the cutter cuts nice and cleanly right where I want it to cut!
once I am all done cutting that set of inserts I get organize them and then put them in my binder.
my binder is organized by items such as this example, snacks, then catagorized by type of snack, bars, fruit slices, cups and so forth. I just did this and it made my life much easier having the sub catagories because I would be at the store with my binder and before I did this I would be flipping back and forth though my pages. Now I just go right to the tab. My tabs are Post - it file tabs and I just put it inbetween the plastic slot where you would put your coupon in at the top so it sticks out. it fits great with my binder!

So this is how I cut my coupons, it just seems to work really well for me and cut my time drastically, what use to take me days now only takes me an hour or two! it is great.
remember don't throw away your expired coupons, there are lots of military people who can use them up to 6 months after they expired! leave me a message and I can tell you where to send them!
Happy couponing!

Goodness, I hope you all had better luck then I did looking for the sunday paper. I kept putting it off on sunday and then on monday everyone was sold out! I was freaking out! You see what they do here is on monday they take the sunday papers out and then bring in the bundles which is two sunday papers bundled into one for the price of $3.50. But everywhere was sold out.. lucky for me I found 3 papers last night and my friend Nichole found 2!!! I wanted double that amount but that is what I get for trying to save money!
Have you guys ever heard of House Party? Here is the link http://www.houseparty.com/ it is pretty cool. It is free to sign up and then you apply for parties. What they do if you get picked is they send you this box full of goodies to help you host your party. For instance I got chosen to do a pizza party so they sent me a apron, oven mit, pizza cutter, sauce spreader, plates and napkins, and coupons for my party guests and free coupons to get the sausage and cheese! I just have to get the pizza crust and any other toppings I might want.. how cool is that! I suggest you all joining and getting free parties for your family and friends!
On my facebook account CouponcrazyMindi I posted about the scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaning kit, if you liked their page you got to print a $4.00 coupon for the kit. Walmart was selling the kits for $3.95 or something like that which made them FREE!!! I don't know about you but I love free stuff!
Have you seen my introduction video yet? Boy it sure felt silly making it but I have been asked the same questions over and over so I thought I would try to do videos so you have a visual of what I am actually talking about. Because it gets pretty confusing.
I am going to be doing some maintence on my account here so it is more friendly and easy to find things, if I can figure it out..lol
have a great day

Welcome

Hi Everyone!
Well here it is my blog, I feel so official, I do have other blogs but those are just for my normal life, but I guess I can say that couponing is now part of my normal life seeing as it takes up a good part of my week.
I have used coupons for years however my Aunt Bonnie is a real pro when it comes to using coupons and I learned some great tricks from her. And of course the TLC show Extreme Couponing, that show lit a fire in me as I am sure it did most of you. I don't know about you but some of those women I think are a little bit bonkers. I mean really do you need to go to the store and buy 100 box's of ramen noodles? I know I don't. I live in a household of 13 and the majority is kids so I need to know how to stretch the dollar and use coupons the best way for the family.
SO that is what I will be helping you to learn also. How to use the coupon the best. Now remember I am still learning but I will post what I learn here for you also.
Lets start our journey in the coupon world together!
See Ya
